Risks and eligibility
Read this before you point hardware at anything. Nothing on this site is investment, legal or tax advice.
Who can receive xStocks
Not for US persons
xStocks are issued by Backed and are not offered to US persons. Trading venues also exclude other countries, including the UK, Canada and Australia at the time of writing. The list changes: check the issuer’s current terms before you mine.
Your local rules apply
Receiving and holding tokenized shares may be regulated where you live. If you are not allowed to hold them, do not mine to Minelo.
Tax
Receiving stock as payment for mining may be a taxable event. Ask a tax adviser where you live.
What can go wrong with the money
Mining pays little
A desktop CPU earns a few dollars a month at best, often less than the electricity it burns.
The price moves before you get it
Each batch buys at the market price at settlement, in one Jupiter swap. Slippage, the XMR to USDC rate and the stock price all move what you receive.
Fees stack
The upstream Monero pool takes its fee first, then Minelo takes 2.5% of the batch USDC, and the conversion and swap each cost a spread.
The vote can go against you
The ticker with the most work behind it at close takes the whole batch. If nobody votes, the default ticker applies.
What you have to trust
The pool keeps the books
Shares and work are counted by the operator's stratum proxy. The program caps total work per batch but cannot re-check every share.
The relayer can stall
Converting XMR to USDC happens off-chain. If the relayer stops, batches sit in "awaiting XMR" and the pool page shows it.
Smart-contract risk
Batches settle through one Solana program. It has not been audited by a third party, and a bug could lose or lock funds in it.
Stocks can be paused
Backed can pause, freeze or force-redeem xStock tokens. A failed transfer is parked in the settler and claimable later.
Staying safe
Get XMRig from the source
Download only from xmrig.com or the official GitHub releases, and check the SHA256 against the published hashes. Fake miners carrying malware are common.
Check the pool address
Use only the pool address shown on this site. Copied commands can be swapped by browser extensions; read the host before you run it.
Fake tokens
$MINELO is not launched. Any token using the name before the address appears on this site is not ours.
Payouts are public
Anyone can see what an address received. Mine to a wallet you use for nothing else if that matters to you.
Check it yourself
The program ID, the $MINELO mint and the pool address are listed under Verify in the docs. The pool's Monero income can be checked with its view key on the ledger.
